The systems are set for the construction of the Siaya West sub-county headquarters building.

On March 23, the Siaya West sub-county DCC Noah Logwatale and his Siaya sub-county counterpart Robert Ngetich were on site for a groundbreaking ceremony for the headquarters construction project in Uranga.

The Siaya West headquarters building will be raised in the same compound that has been serving as the Uranga divisional headquarters.

The building is designed to be a single-storey complex with multiple offices and facilities. The block will host the offices of interior administration, security, registration, and education officers. It will also feature a boardroom, an IT operations department, and a social services unit.

The block will be built in two phases. They will construct the ground floor in the first phase and the upper floor in the second phase.

The first phase is targeted to be completed within five months, and the project is expected to cost Ksh16.2 million, a source familiar with the details told the Tribune. The project is funded by the National Treasury, the source said.

A company named Isolook Enterprises was picked to construct the headquarters block.

Documents show that Isolook Enterprises has done construction work for the Kisumu county government and has ongoing projects with the Kenya Rural Roads Authority in Bungoma.

The groundbreaking event in Uranga was attended by Uranga ACC Dennis Kiarie, South West Alego chief Simon Olwendo, Usonga chief Paul Kanot, and West Alego chief Camlus Agara.

Also present were James Opiyo, the bishop of the Good Samaritan Ministries, and location opinion leaders.
