Frank Ochung, an alumnus of Mwer High School, has been nominated to a Siaya county recruitment panel. That panel is composed of five members, and it will lead the recruitment of the county secretary, county public service board secretary, and county public service board members.
Other nominees to the panel are Risper Olick, Fred Ambala, Alphones Okumu, and Gladys Olambo. The nominees were vetted last month.
Mr. Ochung is a certified public accountant and will represent the ICPAK on the county recruitment panel. He attended Mwer High School in the 1980s and is the chairman of the Mwer High School Alumni Association.
He has been a leading figure in the efforts to reverse Mwer’s academic decline. In recent years, Mr. Ochung has rallied fellow old boys to raise funds to support the school’s financial needs.
